On the 15 of July 2020 Norway opened its borders for tourists. A couple of days later I found myself on the ferry from Denmark to Norway, where I spent 6 weeks travelling through the south of the country. I visited a friend in Oslo as well. We did some outdoor activities together. The highlight was the crossing of Nordmarka by canoe.
In the north of Nordmarka, a fast wilderness area north of Oslo is a gorge called Gyrihaugen. It was a fantastic hike up there which offerd outstanding views over the South Norwegian countryside.
Oslo is a beautiful city next to the Oslo Fjord and offers outstanding architecture. Very modern architecture can be found in particular in the recently established Barcode Project, in the city centre of Oslo.
The following photos were taken driving along the Southern Norwegian coast from Oslo to Stavanger and further north before returning back to Oslo.
