Almost ten years ago, we built the first drone by ourselves. There was no other way of taking aerial images that time. Nowadays almost everybody is travelling with a small foldable DJI Drone, which is capable of taking aerial photographs.

On this trip I had a small drone with me. The resolution of its camera was good enough for most purposes, however it could not be compared to a photograph taken with a full frame camera body. If you want this quality, you need to build your own Mikrokopter. An oktokopter, which is able to carry a full frame camera has a diameter of 95 cm. For travelling purposes this size is a bit of an obstacle.
