In 2006 I started in Mexico City to travel by bicycle to Argentina, riding through many different and interesting countries. On this trip I met many wounderful people and encountered no problems at all.
Central America is an arrangement of smaller countries, most of them accessing the Atlantic and the Pacific Ocean. People are poor but very friendly.
Most of the time I was traveling on the Pan-American highway in Central America, which was in good condition. However, there is no road connection between Panama and Colombia. Therefore, I arranged a sailing boat to get to South America. This trip started with an off road drive through the jungle of Panama, where we continued with a canoe on a river to the sailing boat.
