Traveling in South America on a bicycle is a huge physical challenge due to the mountainous terrain, caused by the Andes and the changing climate, which is tropical in lower elevations and can be very cold above 4000 meter in the high mountains of the southamerican Andes.

Apart from the changing terrain and stunning landscapes the population of South American countries is friendly and very hospitable. Traveling on a bicycle means getting very close to the inhabitants of the countries, I was travelling through.

Lake Titicaca is located between Peru and Bolivia, which is kind of in the middle of South America. I was climbing the Andes in Peru, traveled in high altitude in Bolivia and descended from Bolivia into Argentina.
