The Plitvice Lakes National Park are located in northern Croatia, about one hour drive from the Mediterranean Sea. This place is to be considered one of the highlights of Croatia.

It is a very nice location to take landscape photographs, however, during the day many visitors are walking along the lakes and rivers in the park. The best hours to take photos are early morning and late evening.

There are walking tracks all over the most scienic areas of the park, where waterfalls of all different sizes can be seen. Lakes are between the rapids and waterfalls and can be orbited by foot as well.
